Troubleshooting Cost Estimates

Could Not Get Cost Estimate

RAI encountered an error while generating the cost estimate. This is usually a network or server issue.

Try again in a few moments. If the issue persists, check your internet connection or contact support.

Could Not Generate PDF

RAI was unable to generate a PDF file from your estimate, usually due to a network or server error.

Check your internet connection and try again. If the issue persists, contact support.

Estimate Saved

RAI successfully saved your cost estimate. Your existing price edits and notes are preserved — only new or changed components are updated.

Tap “…” (top right)

Show Saved Estimates and open the estimate you want.

Estimate Already Saved

You tapped the “Go” button, but RAI already has a saved estimate for this exact iteration of your image.

Tap **“...” **

 Show Saved Estimates to find your existing estimate.

Incomplete Estimate/ Save Failed

RAI is having trouble calculating an accurate estimate or save the estimate, usually due to a network or server error.

Check your internet connection and tap Save again. If the issue persists, contact support.

No Changes Yet

You may have uploaded an image and tried to get a cost estimate without making any changes. RAI bases its estimates on the new components (such as furnishings and fixtures) you added or changes you made to existing components. Since RAI does not see any changes from your original image, it cannot estimate what those changes might cost.

Edit your image and then generate a cost estimate. RAI will estimate the costs associated with the changes you made to your image.

No Cost Data Available

RAI cannot find a product similar enough to the one in your image that it feels confident enough to provide an estimated cost. The component is still listed in your estimate with a price of $0

Tap the price field for that component in your cost estimate, and enter a price manually. Even though RAI did not help you find the price, you can still keep your cost estimate accurate by entering it yourself.

Location Update Failed

RAI could not fetch updated prices for the location you selected, usually due to a network or server error.

Check your internet connection and try selecting the location again. If the issue persists, contact support.

Save Failed

RAI could not save the estimate, usually due to a network or server error.

Check your internet connection and tap Save again. If the issue persists, contact support.

Invalid Cost Amount

The price you entered for a component is not a valid number or is negative.

Tap the price field in the cost estimate, and enter your own estimate of the price, so you can keep your cost estimate accurate.

Discard your edits?

You are changing the location while you have manual price edits. New prices will be fetched for the new location, replacing your edits.

Tap Keep Editing to go back and save your edits, or tap Continue to proceed with the new location. RAI will keep any notes you entered.

Location Update Failed

You changed the location to fetch a updated pricing, but RAI could not fetch updated prices for the new area

Check your internet connection and try changing the location again. If the issue persists, contact support.

Discard Component?

You are closing the Add Component screen without saving it. This is a warning that you may lose your most recent edits, including the name, cost, quantity, and labor details.

Tap Keep Editing to go back and save the component, or tap Discard to start again.

Save Image

You attempted to generate a cost estimate but no project image has been saved yet.

Tap **Home **

 Start With Photo, save your image, then re-generate your cost estimate. See Estimating Renovation Costs
