Using the RAI Canvas

The Renovate AI (RAI) canvas is the place where you will interact with your image the most. It’s the main editing window where you make the changes you want to the photo you upload or “edit your image.” It’s also where you can access non-image editing or “post editing” features, such as estimating real-world costs of your edits, saving images, and getting help.

Previously known as “Renovate Mode,” the canvas is one of two places where you can edit images. (The other way is by using the RAI Design Consultant).

There are three main areas you need to know in the canvas:

  • The “Tell RAI” field – a text box where you enter a description of the changes you want RAI to make to the photo you uploaded and subsequent images that RAI renders
  • The “…” (ellipses) at the top right – where you can access post-editing features like saving images, estimating the costs of your renovations, and getting help
  • The “GO” button – click it to tell RAI when you want to start making the edits you entered in the Tell RAI field.
