Using Renovate AI (RAI) - an Overview

This is the highest level page for the Renovate AI (RAI) user documentation.

RAI, pronounced “Ray,” is a visualization tool designed specifically for home (and business) renovations. With RAI, you can upload a photo of your home (a photo of your “space”) and edit it in easy ways to imagine – or re-imagine – what that space could be.

Here is the general process you can follow to re-imagine your space:

1. Download the Renovate AI app to your mobile device – iPhone, iPad, Android – or go to https://studio.renovateai.app/Home and run it from a browser on a desktop machine.
2. Upload a photo of your space. Now you have an image to work with!
3. Edit your image. The easiest way is to enter text in the “Tell RAI” field at the bottom of the canvas screen, telling RAI what changes you’d like to make. RAI will create an iteration of your image with the changes you suggested.
4. If you like the changes, tell RAI what else you’d like to change. If you do not like the changes, return to an earlier iteration and try again in an iterative way. Try different ideas. Open the door, and set your creative side free!
5. When you’re done re-imagining your space, get an estimate of what those changes will cost you in the real world.
